Washing
Synthetic wigs don't need washing as often as natural hair — every 8–10 wears is usually enough. Use lukewarm water and a wig-specific shampoo, gently swishing rather than rubbing, which can cause tangling and frizz.
Styling and Heat
Most synthetic wigs are pre-styled and designed to hold their shape without heat tools. If your wig is heat-resistant, always check the manufacturer's maximum temperature and use heat protectant — but where possible, let the fibre's natural style do the work.
Storage
Store your wig on a wig stand or in its original packaging when not in use — this helps it keep its shape and prevents matting. Avoid direct sunlight, which can fade colour over time.
Detangling
Use a wide-tooth comb or wig brush, always starting from the ends and working upward. Never brush a wig when wet, as synthetic fibres are more prone to stretching and breaking under tension when damp.
